The double closet and attached full bath complete the master suite. Medford Maine is a rural town first incorporated in 1824 as Kilmarnock. Named by General John Boyd of Boston who also helped organize the nearby town of Orneville. In 1825 the town had a sweeping fire which destroyed over three quarters of the town and essentially killed the booming sawmill industry that was at its center. The town changed its name to Medford in 1856. In the early 1940s the town surrendered its charter and was reorganized as a plantation. In 1967 it regained its 'town' status.
