Sitting up on a rise looking out over the water, this handsome Federal period cape has passed almost 2 centuries of Atlantic winds and weather but still sits strong.... with straight lines and chimneys that look like they have another couple of centuries in them. So many beautiful views from this solid old home...and , In addition, there is a 3-story barn with full foundation, offering lots of space for boats, cars, tools, equipment , etc., and more lovely views. The 3.5 acres , sloping down to the shore, has some mature plantings giving such nice gifts in the spring, summer and fall. A new mooring awaits you just offshore. Some recent updates : new entryway and mudroom, 2 new bathrooms - new master bath and primary bath, master bedroom has a new walk -in closet, the fine old wood floors on the first floor have been sanded and beautifully refinished , also impressive insulation, painting ...and more. The basement of this house is not your typical old rock foundation but poured concrete was done in maybe the 60's which gives fortress-like support to this fine old structure. The stonework supporting the 2 massive chimneys is a sight to behold. Altogether a truly fine property and ... there aren't many left like this.one. Come see this gem and maybe you'll be there in time for the flowering of the magnolia !!--
