Karen has spent a lifetime appreciating the many sides of Maine—from its working harbors and coastal boats to the inland farms and seasonal markets that define the rhythm of life here. Her real estate career takes her across the state, allowing her to connect clients with the homes and communities that make Maine so special.

Some of her earliest memories are of family time spent on an island, playing in an old boathouse by the water. Today, she and her partner John are restoring a historic home in Searsport, continuing her deep connection to Maine’s architecture and lifestyle.

While Karen appreciates all kinds of homes, she has a special affection for antique houses. She has guided many clients—both buyers and sellers—through the nuances of owning historic properties. When working with buyers, she brings genuine excitement and care to the process, always treating their search as if it were her own. For her, helping an old Maine house get a second chance is a dream come true, and finding the right fit for a client—no matter the style or budget—is one of the greatest rewards.

Karen also understands the importance of community. Many of her clients have gone on to become vital parts of their towns—opening shops, teaching, creating art—and she continues to support them long after the sale.

Outside of real estate, Karen is a lifelong treasure hunter and maker. She forages for Maine antiques and hand-sews a line of canvas pillows under the name Maine House Workshop, available at The Red Barn Marketplace in Lincolnville. Though her children and three young grandchildren live in New Hampshire, they make frequent visits over the Piscataqua River to spend as much time together as possible.
