Thanksgiving Food Drive
As the holidays approach, our team at Dwelling in Maine is coming together to help make the season a little brighter for local families. This year, we’re organizing a Thanksgiving Food Drive to support food pantries in Rockland, Belfast, and surrounding communities.
With ongoing economic challenges and the recent government shutdown affecting so many Mainers, we know this season may be especially tough for some of our neighbors. We wanted to do something simple but meaningful — and filling a few boxes with food staples feels like a great place to start.
We’re collecting non-perishable items that help create a comforting Thanksgiving meal, including:
-
Boxed or bagged stuffing
-
Broth
-
Canned cranberry sauce
-
Canned corn or green beans
-
Boxed potatoes
-
Pre-made pie filling and graham cracker crusts
Of course, any non-perishable donations are welcome and appreciated.
Our team members are bringing their items to the office and adding them to the growing collection boxes — a small reminder that when we come together as a community, even little gestures can make a big difference.
We’d love to encourage everyone to get involved in their own communities this Thanksgiving — whether it’s donating to a local food pantry, volunteering your time, or simply checking in on a neighbor. If you’d like to contribute to our drive, you’re warmly invited to stop by our office at 8 Public Landing, Camden, ME, and add to the collection. Together, we can help make this season a little brighter for everyone.
