A New Year Perspective: Real Estate Leadership in Midcoast Maine
As we settle into the start of a new year, it’s a natural time to reflect on the year just behind us—not only on outcomes, but on how those outcomes were achieved.
At Dwelling in Maine, we are a boutique real estate brokerage serving Midcoast Maine, built around experienced agents who are committed to continuous learning, refinement of craft, and delivering a better real estate experience for consumers. Our focus has never been on selling the most homes—it has always been on doing the work well.
Serving Midcoast Maine with Local Depth
Our work spans Knox, Lincoln, Waldo, Hancock, and Kennebec Counties, with active representation in communities including Camden, Rockport, Rockland, Belfast, Damariscotta, Blue Hill, Ellsworth, Augusta, Hallowell, and Gardiner. This geographic reach allows our agents to bring hyper-local insight to each transaction, while maintaining a clear understanding of how market conditions vary town by town across the Midcoast region.
Leadership Within Our Office
As a boutique brokerage, leadership matters more than scale. Within our office, Laura Amey and Lynne Doble consistently lead in transaction activity and homes sold, bringing steady momentum and deep market knowledge to the clients they serve.
Chuck Brawn and Victoria Condon also lead within the company, balancing strong transactional work with active involvement in industry leadership, professional education, and community engagement.
As owner of Dwelling in Maine, Victoria Condon leads by example. In addition to her work with clients, she currently serves as First Vice President of the Maine Association of REALTORS®, a role that allows her to give back to the industry while continuing to refine her perspective on policy, ethics, education, and best practices. This involvement helps ensure the brokerage remains informed, forward-thinking, and aligned with the highest professional standards—benefiting both clients and agents alike.
Together, this balance of production, experience, and leadership shapes the culture of our office and reinforces our commitment to thoughtful, client-centered real estate.
Experience, Growth, and New Additions
Over the past year, we’ve seen meaningful growth through the addition of seasoned agents who share our values and deep connection to the region. We were proud to welcome Lynne Doble of Rockland, Karen Keuper of Belfast, and Carole Gartley of Rockport—each bringing experience, professionalism, and a genuine passion for their communities and their craft.
Their presence has strengthened our collective knowledge and further enhanced the level of care and guidance we’re able to offer clients throughout Midcoast Maine.
Client Trust and Reputation
Much of our business continues to come from repeat and referral clients, reflecting long-term trust built through clear communication and consistent service. Our office maintains an average five-star rating on Google, a reflection of the care, responsiveness, and professionalism clients experience throughout the buying and selling process.

Interpreting the Market, Not Just Reporting It
The past year brought shifting interest rates, changing buyer expectations, and increased attention to property condition and pricing accuracy. Throughout those shifts, our focus remained steady: helping clients understand why certain strategies matter, rather than simply reacting to headlines. That clarity proved essential to navigating the Midcoast Maine real estate market with confidence.
A Thoughtful, Boutique Approach
As an independent brokerage, we’re able to stay nimble and intentional. Our training model is collaborative and practical, grounded in real transactions, market nuance, and open dialogue. This approach allows our agents to adapt quickly while maintaining a consistent, calm experience for buyers and sellers alike.
While many real estate companies experienced a slower pace over the past year, our office entered this new year with continued momentum—driven by experience, preparation, and a shared commitment to doing the work well.
Looking Ahead
As the year unfolds, our goal remains unchanged: to be a trusted, informed resource for real estate in Midcoast Maine—focused on clarity, care, and confidence at every stage of the process.
Because being the best at it means something different to us.
